Custom customer fields

Hello can it please be made possilbe to have custom customer fields.
THese fields would be private to us. It would allow us to store extra details about our customers.
Example: you may use a custom field to store your CRM url link to that specific customer.
Or you may want to save the postcode of each customer etc
